Guidelines for trainee adverts:
Successful applicants for the Graduate Teacher Programme
must:
Possess GCSE, or equivalent in English and maths (and
a science
subject, for primary teaching)
Possess a first, or bachelor's degree (B.A., B.Sc. etc)
Have knowledge equivalent to degree level in the subject
in which they wish to qualify, if aiming to teach in secondary
education.
Be able to communicate in Standard English
Be able to demonstrate the capability to successfully
complete the QTS skills tests in Literacy, Numeracy and
ICT.
Have prior experience of working in a school setting.
Please note that the school will assess the suitability
of a potential GT to join the staff. The Consortium may
conduct a further interview to
ascertain suitability for a QTS programme.The Consortium
will continue to recruit the majority of its Graduate Teachers
from recommendations from head teachers for staff already
working in their schools.
The offer of an interview is not a guarantee of a training
place. The Consortium reserves the right to reject any applicant
deemed unsuitable for a training position, following interview.
